The latest version of Quicken 2007 is 16.2 on Mac Informer. It is a perfect match for Finances in the Business category. The app is developed by Intuit. Download Quicken for free. Quicken shows your personal finance information, including your bank and credit card accounts, in one place. Quicken was developed to work on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 10 and can function on 32-bit systems.
The only place you will find that out is to talk with the Intuit people. I too would like to see them upgrade Quicken, but from what I can see, I will not move to Quicken Essentials. They need to do better than that.

I use Quicken 2007 and it appears to be OK for now. It's not dependent on Intuit as to how long 2007 will work. Since it's not an intel application, it need Rosetta to run. So, how many Apple OS upgrades will support it??? That's the question. I know there are other products for Macs, but I'm not sure if I would like them as much. You could probably upgrade for a small price, but I don't know that you will get much more features from it.
I can't remember a big difference from 2005 to 2007. I'll be waiting for future releases from them on newer products. I Message was edited by: Glenn Leblanc. I've depended on Quicken (Mac) since (I think) the 1998 version.
I recently learned that the new O/S, 10.7 (Lion), will not have Rosetta, and therefore not support non-universal applications, and all Quicken versions (except Quicken Essentials 'QE') are non-universal. Furthermore, QE doesn't support many features I require. So for the last 2 weeks, I've been entering all my transactions in Quicken 2006 and iBank. That way, my financial software won't prevent me from upgrading my O/S.
Looking back at what some Intiut execs said (about 2 years ago), there may be a new edition this year. But Intuit will look pretty bad if customers are stuck on Snow Leopard because of them. The problem is if they stop the support for online banking interface for Quicken 2005, then it will probably be the same for Quicken 2007.
So, either way we won't be happy. And if they are still selling Quicken 2007, then I'm sure they will continue their support for a few years to come.
I would be more concerned with loosing Rosetta support from Apple in newer OS which will probably happen very soon and not being able to upgrade unless I'm willing to do without Quicken. I don't really see myself upgrading to the next OS for at least another year. So, I will worry about it then and continue to use Quciken 2007. I went to the Quicken Live community and searched for Quicken and Lion. There's a thread with this name 'Quicken 2007 and Mac OS X Lion' that includes this Q & A: - Question: Will a full-featured, native version of Quicken for Mac be coming soon?
Or do we have to forego an OS update just to run abandoned software (Quicken 2007) from Intuit? Answer: Can't answer that for multiple reasons, but suffice it to say that there will not be a new version of Quicken For Mac that will coincide with the release of or is designed specifically for Lion. From me: Sounds to me like there is some new product in the works, but non-disclosure rules are preventing any description. From the Quicken Support page Q: I use a Mac. Will my version of Quicken for Mac 2005, 2006, or 2007 be discontinued?
A: These products are not being discontinued at this time - Of course, that webpage could be updated at any time changing that status! But I'm still using Quicken for Mac 2005 on Tiger, with no problems. I have used Quicken products for many years. I am currently usingQuicken 2007 primarily to track investments. I have over 30 years ofinvestment data saved up. Most of the messages I have seen so far onthis website deal with banking functions.
I don't use Quicken 2007 forbanking. In light of Lion not being compatible with Quicken 2007, isthere an alternative program that has similar capabilities for trackinginvestments (tracking transactions, dividends, capital gains, etc.)that can be used with Lion?
